Last Friday afternoon, I had the pleasure of attending the Media Tasting at Ristorante Beatrice, aptly dubbed #LunchInWonderland. It isn’t always easy to get away from work in the middle of the week to attend a lengthy lunch but seeing as it was a beautiful Friday, I eagerly recruited Kelly and we headed over to Beatrice (which never disappoints) to check out their new lunch menu.

Seeing as it is Summer, it is hot out and I was heading to a luncheon, I opted for light, airy and chic as my vibe. Wearing my fave warm weather trends, the off the shoulder (Zara) and the culotte (Maison Simons), in denim and white, respectively, I tied my look together with naked sandals and my Fendi decorative bar mini Peekaboo.

The lunch took place in the restaurant’s gorgeous covered terrace that you enter through ornate iron gates. The 2 long tables set up for the media tasting were adorned with stunning floral arrangements and gift bags.

We were greeted with cocktails, the choices being an Aperol spritz, rose or white wine. We opted for the rose, which was light and crisp. As we sipped and scouted the scene, we took in the stunning setting of the luncheon. An entire wall of greenery, lights dotting the retractable roof and stunning rustic wood floors. (This restaurant is photo op central!)

After choosing our seats, we sat, chatted with some fellow industry peeps and checked out the food offerings – the focal point of the event – a garden to table lunch menu that will now be offered at $25 for 3 courses – a serious treat!

So we drank, we ate (a few of our faves – the caponata stuffed zucchini, seafood ravioli and deconstructed strawberry shortcake – all so light, fresh and flavourful), talked shop and laughed a lot – overall a very successful day IMO!

Thank you to Alessandra (@citizenatelier) for the invite, Ristorante Beatrice (@ristorantebeatrice) for the gorgeous day and Chef Shant Manguelian for a delicious meal.
