My personal style is something that evolved naturally. Certain things evoke a feeling of excitement, I try to emulate, tweak them to suit my preferences and voila! So what happens when things are shaken up and you have to alter that personal style? Or do you?
I am someone that believes that ‘fashion rules’ are kind of bullsh*t- if you like something and you rock it with confidence, do you! So when I started “feeling” and “looking” pregnant, I had a choice to make: change my style or stay true to it? And needless to say, this chick rocks what she loves when she loves it.
So, I wanted to show a few winter looks that I am loving as a preggo and would still rock pre-baby and will also rock post-baby. The first look is an “après-ski in the city” look that is quintessential for looking super chic despite frigid temperatures.
This look consists of leather look denim, which is the jam for winter. You can also substitute these with faux leather leggings or even a thick pair of tights. I paired them with a mock neck sweater tunic. I am really feeling the winter white knits.
Over this I am wearing my favourite style of coat this season, the shearling aviator.
Accessories next: black booties with this sick tortoise block heel. I feel like adding subtle visual interest to an outfit is the key to truly honing a personal style. I am sporting my fave purchase of 2016, the Gucci Dionysus with a Dylan Kane accent scarf. And lastly what pulls this whole look together, these Le Spec sunnies with blue flash lens. It kinda gives that chic ski goggle vibe in the city. Kind of obsessed.
Stay tuned for more of my favourite winter looks! xo
