Scents are a lot like classic songs; they have the power to transport you back in time with a simple whiff. I will never forget the smell of my mom's Revlon 'Toast of New York' lipstick or the smell of the 'Herbal Essences' shampoo Moe used to use when we met way back when. Smells have the power to transport me back in time to a memory I haven't thought about in ages, flooding me with old feelings and emotions.
With Summer 2017 in full swing I have narrowed down my personal scent of the season to Jo Malone Nectarine Blossom & Honey for daytime and Maison Margiela Replica Beach Walk for nights out. I will forever remember the scent associated to my Summer on mat leave walking around the city with Luca in her Bugaboo or the date nights out at the restaurant around the corner because I wanted to be close to my girl 'just in case'.
In case the two scents I chose aren't up your alley, I did come across three more that are perfect for the warmer weather. Tom Ford is the king of Summer perfumes; both Fleur de Portofino and Soleil Blanc are perfect. Another option is an oldie but goodie; Dolce & Gabbana Light Blue. All three of those transport me to a chic Ibiza Beach Club.
Have any of you tried these? If so, which was your fave? I'd love to read your comments on either Instagram or YouTube!
