Grand Prix Montreal

In my opinion, Grand Prix is the kick off to Montreal’s best season, Summer. After a brutal winter and abysmal spring, Montrealers are paid off with summers that cannot be rivalled. Between the amazing events, festivals and weather, I feel blessed to be part of the awesomeness.

Grand Prix may be about fast cars but it is not about fast fashion. It is about going all out and making a statement. So it goes without saying that Grand Prix’s kick off cocktails at Le Meridien merited a banging outfit. I decided to throw serious SATC vibes with my look because no one does it better than Carrie Bradshaw when it comes to being effortless, sexy, fun and cool all at once.

My dress was a last season piece from Zara, which got a lot of hate in a YT haul. However, judging by the comments on IG, I think this dress made a comeback in a huge way. One shoulder, ruffle detail and pinstripes may seem like a haphazard mix but this piece totally worked for this fab event.

And then the accessories… Rather than my go to naked sandals which would have been too quiet, I rocked another past season Zara find. These sling back babies are everything and more and complimented the dress perfectly. And to top it all off, a vintage Dior clutch, because well, you really can’t go wrong throwing it back.

I think what really tied the outfit together though was the fact that I felt good and I was having an amazing time. Even as passersby laughed at my running back and forth across the street to capture the perfect shots. The smile says it all, no?!
